2011 ATLFF Screenplay Competition
REGULAR DEADLINE HAS PASSED
The Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition looks to discover high quality screenplays and then help the writer further develop and refine their script through an intensive workshop retreat with professional writers and filmmakers. Three (3) winning screenwriters will be invited to participate in a weekend retreat where they will workshop their screenplay with industry professionals. Twelve to Fifteen finalists will be named, from which the three winning screenplays will be chosen.
Experience the chance to be mentored by writer, producer, director and consultant Michael Lucker. Mr. Lucker has penned more than twenty screenplays for Paramount, Dreamworks, Fox and Universal Pictures, including Vampire in Brooklyn, Home on the Range, and the Academy Award nominated animated feature, Spirit. He is also known for his work in creative affairs at Hollywood Pictures, developing such projects as Crimson Tide, Terminal Velocity, Taking Care of Business and Straight Talk. Be sure to look out for the spotlights on our other two mentors for the competition.
