So far, Season 6 is off to a great start! We had an amazing turn out for season auditions in August, Academy classes are merrily rolling along, No Shame Athens is a weekly highlight at Hendershots Coffee Bar and Huckleberry Finn will go into rehearsals soon!

Fall Academy Classes Continue

 

Fall Academy 2011-Chloe smile

“Teaching Life Skills Through Stage Skills” continues! Session 2 will offer two classes. The six week session runs September 23-November 4 (No Class on October 28 due to Huckleberry Finn Performance). 

 

Session 2, Class 1Who’s Afraid of the Big, Bad Audition, a class on audition development and technique will be offered 9:00 AM-10:00 AM & 4:00 PM-5:00 PM on Friday’s. The goal of this class is for each student to gain a better understanding of the audition process, gain confidence and poise in an audition situation and leave this class with a polished, memorized piece or two to use in future auditions. This class will be taught by theatre professional, Danielle Bailey Miller.

 

Session 2, Class 2Puppet Palooza! a fun, introductory class to puppetry performance and construction will be offered 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Friday’s. This class will be taught by puppetry professional Charlotte House.

We also have an amazing fundraiser coming up! It is the 2011-2012 Bulldog Painting Auction featuring artist
Emily Hogan. There will be an unveiling at the opening of Huckleberry Finn. A total of six paintings will be up for auction. Three will be ready for the taking in December and the remaining three will be ready to go home with you at the close of the season in June 2012! Details to follow! Sneak Peek below…
