Huckleberry Finn Moseys Down to Athens
|
Cindy Nason, Director |
Director Cindy Nason is thrilled to work with Rose of Athens Theatre once again, ” I am truly honored to be working with such talented and professional people who are involved with the cast and crew of Huckleberry Finn. I hope the audience has as much fun as we are putting this show together!” Huckleberry Finn will perform for ONE WEEKEND only at Seney-Stovall Chapel in October.
Huck is on the run from civilization, school and his Pap. He takes to the Mississippi River to escape these trappings and meets up with a runaway slave, Jim. In Huckleberry Finn, Twain exposes the hypocrisy of slavery and demonstrates how racism distorts the oppressors as much as it does those who are oppressed. Along his epic journey towards discovery, Huck learns the value of true friendship and develops a new moral compass. Don’t miss your chance to experience the adventure and genius of Mark Twain!
School performances are October 26, 27 & 28 at 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM and Public performances are Ocotber 28 at 7:00 PM and October 29 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. For tickets or to book a school show, call our office at
