the stamina of an actor
If you just want to say “I’m taking a break on auditioning for a bit” because it can jusyou think about it, it’s amazing what actors go through in the course of day to day business. To be willing to present yourself regularly for rejection or acceptance is a brave act for sure. Keeping in mind that the standard ratio is one booking for every ten auditions, it’s only logical that sometimes t begin to beat you down. The reasons talent are and are not chosen can be so random, and sometimes so completely not related to you and your skill, that you just can’t let it work on you (we’ll address all those random reasons in a future post and that certainly doesn’t mean you dont need to do all you can to be prepared). To balance things out, it’s a good idea to get involved in local theatre, acting classes, workshops, improv troupes and the like. This way, you have good experiences and feedback from your peers and can stay fresh and positive. It makes all the difference sometimes…
