Brad Garrett will lead you through all aspects of comedy as it applies to cold reading, auditioning technique, character development, script analysis & breakdown. Monday January 28th and Tuesday January 29th6pm-11pm

Auditioning for Film & Television
with Michelle Danner
Actors practice in front of the camera with sides from movies ranging from comedy, sitcom, romantic comedy, slapstick, black comedy, and all genres of dramatic writing.
Playback is watched on the big screen. Students learn to stamp their signatures on a character with unique choices.
This class aims to exercise an ease working in front of the camera and the confidence to perform and to shine in every audition. Michelle danner has
coached many A-List Actors privately and on set including Gerad Butler, James Franco, Penelope Cruz, Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Rodriguez, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Michael Pena, Isla Fisher, Common, Brian McKnight, Marcia Cross, Christian Slater, Catherine Bell, Gabrielle Union, Justine Wadell, Rob Estes, and Rick Fox among many others. She was the comedy acting coach expert on the WB show “The Starlet” and was voted favorite acting coach by Backstage readers. Michelle trained with Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, and Bill Esper. You will work with the the following acting techniques: Adler,
Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Hagen, Chekov, & the Stanislavsky Technique. Actors are taught the foundations of technique through opening emotional exercises which are used to warm up the actor’s instrument and teach the tools that will be applied to their scene work. Students explore how to apply their backstory to the characters they are creating by working on contemporary and classical scenes and monologues. Emphasis is placed on learning how to make the best physical, emotional, and vocal choices.

Script Analysis Class
with Michelle Danner Students learn the mechanics of breaking down story. characters, conflicts,characters, conflicts, and language from a variety of genres including screenplays, television, and theater using both dramatic and comedic scripts.
The class explores all the tools an actor can apply to create memorable performance and acquire the discipline to make powerful choices for auditioning, projects or parts you have booked.

Get prepared for pilot season! Emmy nominated Casting Director Natalie Hart will teach the inside information (the process a casting office goes through), such as: *Audition technique *Working on co-star, guest star & series regulars scenes.
*1st class: The first class is a lot of inside information & co-star sides ( large co-stars not the one lines, but she will talk about the do’s and don’t of that type of role as well *2nd class: Is a re cap of the process… going over the headshot and doing Guest Star scenes.
*3rd class Natalie will go over the series regular audition… why it differs from the other type of TV auditions & what the whole process is: After Producers, the work session, then the Studio session & then finally the Network call back…

Through the M1 Visa Program international actors are able to study & work in beautiful, world famous, Santa Monica CA!
This acting school offers individual acting classes and a 6 or 12 month well rounded actor training conservatory for actors interested in learning the craft at a more accelorated pace. The techniques are diverse and encompass the following schools of acting: Meisner, Hagen, Strasberg, Chekov, Adler, and the Stanislavsky Technique. It also provides M1 visa sponsorship for international actors.
