“Humor, humanity, and mind-churning drama” (Stage & Cinema) for $10*
Next week, the Alliance kicks off 2013 with the Tony Award-nominated Good People. It’s about, well, good people. Real people. And it’s about fate, the kind of fate that has two people walk into the same Bingo hall and one gets the good cards and the other gets [expletive deleted] cards. The kind of fate that makes you wonder if that one person always gets the good cards somehow. Or maybe it’s just that the other person seems to always get the [expletive deleted] cards.
Who are our Good People? The cast features several Atlanta faces, including Andrew Benator and Brenda Bynum (both played in August: Osage County); Kristen Ariza (a graduate of the Alliance’s Acting Internship Program); and Lala Cochran. Joining them are Kate Buddeke and Thomas Vincent Kelly as Margaret and Mike, two Southie natives that ended up being dealt much different cards. And our own Susan V. Booth directs.
