Chez Studio workshops

APRIL 27TH & 28TH

Weekend Intensives for Adults & Under-16 years old

Shay Bentley-Griffin and the Chez Studio are looking forward to having Lance Dreesen work with our Georgia talent for the first spring workshop of 2013. Having worked with him as both a casting director and co-producer, Shay knows how committed he is to helping actors. Shay believes that not only is Lance a great director, he is also a remarkable teacher. He has the ability to guide and build actors’ talent through his experience.

Our industry is growing so fast and needs strong talent. Many L.A. actors are now moving to Georgia for the opportunity to work in our great industry. Our goal is for Georgia actors to be the first cast!

We will host a two-half-day Adult class and a two-half-day Under-16 class.

UNDER-16 – Sat 9:00-1:00 / Sun 2:00-6:00

ADULT – Sat 2:00-6:00 / Sun 9:00-1:00

Class Description:

International award-winning filmmaker and acting instructor Lance Dreesen will be teaching acting techniques (and audition secrets!) that will enable talent to stand out to casting directors. Dreesen specializes in encouraging his students, from beginner to experienced, to use their own behavior, personality and charm in their acting – and therefore gain freedom in front of the camera.   His techniques will not just help talent to “get the role” – but will also help build self-confidence that can be applied to all areas of life.

In a fun, safe, and supportive environment, Dreesen helps his students to prepare scenes that work for each of them, then films them in a “real-life” scenario.  He then watches and analyzes each scene with the class, a technique that has helped actors to improve both dramatically and immediately.  The class applies what they have learned in a final scene.
