The Process Theatre Co. presents the world premiere of Christina Darling
ABOUT THE PLAY:
Christina Darling tells the story of Christina Crawford, daughter of Joan Crawford and author of the infamous memoir “Mommie Dearest.” Set on the eve of the release of the film version of her book, Christina suffers a stroke. Her grandmother arrives to help her cross over, but Christina rebels. If she’s going to survive, she has to face her competing personal histories: the ones created by her mother, a movie studio, herself… and somewhere within, the truth of what actually happened.

Quote from the article
“”All I can do is play with all the sincerity I have,” he says. “There are moments in the show when the comedy comes from the absurdity of who she is, and the body she’s inhabiting [in Christina Darling]. It’s important to play a person like Joan in line with the standards she had”
