Fall is here, so get ready once again for Lend Me an Ear! The Atlanta Bi-Union Players present yet another fun night of Old-Time Radio show recreations for the 9th Annual Lend Me an Ear as more than 40 performers donate their voice talents to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We’re going for the laughs this year with A Comedy Potpourri. We’ll be doing segments and sketches from such programs as: My Friend Irma, the original dim-bulb of radio; It Pays to Be Ignorant, a comical quiz show; The Adventures of Maisie, based on the Ann Southern films of the ’40s; Fanny Brice’s famous Baby Snooks; the ’50s sitcoms My Little Margie and December Bride; the lesser known but very humorous Al Pearce Show; and a fan favorite, The Jack Benny Show.

When: 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2011

Where: New American Shakespeare Tavern
499 Peachtree Street NE
Atlanta, GA
(across from the Emory Hospital Midtown)
Parking: Discounted paid parking is located across the street at the hospital.
