The Meisner technique emphasizes the importance of truthful acting on the stage and screen. Meisner is most known for an acting exercise called ‘Repetition’. Meisner described it as, “I wanted an exercise for actors where there is no intellectuality. I wanted to eliminate all the ‘head’ work, and take away the manipulation and get to where the the source of all organic creativity comes from, your impulses.” (read more)
